Look who we saw today...

the super cute MIGHTY MAX! Me, Robyn, and Tara were over this afternoon helping set up and Amy brought him by to say Hi. He is so darn adorable AND he didn't have any oxygen on today!! YEAH!! That is a big step. Amy was so cute...she was so excited about it. She walked in and was like "what's missing?"- It was the oxygen pack she is normally carrying around.

So now we are at home taking a little rest before we go back and start the fun crop. I am so excited...the silent oxygen stuff looked so great. I can't wait!

Here are some pictures of us with Mighty Max:

Me and the Pup

So today Me and Ran have been cleaning our house getting ready for Robyn and Tara to arrive tonight. We are really excited. Randy is much better at cleaning than I. I always seem to get distracted. You know how it is right? I am trying to clean the extra room they will sleep in and that is where all my scrapbook stuff is...so then I end up looking at old albums or through magazines or something. Next thing I know Randy has cleaned the kitchen, beathroom, and living room...and I am still sitting on the floor with my original mess. And look, now I am posting s blog entry instead of cleaning my bathroom. Well, here are some cute pict. I took of me and my pup today. (yeah taking the pictures was another distraction)

Kathy's last day

So today is Kathy's last day at Treasury. She graduated from WWU this past quarter (in Graphic Deisgn) and so now she is leaving us to go back home. She promises to come back and visit us though. So last night some of us went out to Applebee's for her last day. We had lots of fun...some interesting stories.

So Ran is submitting some stuff into the "Beyond Borders" art show. It is a juried show so he has to submit slides and what not. Well we didn;t have any slides of his most recent work so I found a place in the phone book that would develop them in 1 hour (it said in thier ad) so I take the film there today and oh, they are no longer in business. So that sucks. The film can' t get developed since it has to be turrned in today. So he is not submitting as many...or the ones he hoped too, but I still think something is better than nothing. So keep your fingers crossed that he will get in. It would be very good for his resume.

Robyn and Tara are coming up tomarrow!! Yeah. I have to clean my house and go grocery shopping tonight and tomarrow so they will have a place to sleep and some food to eat.

Here is a fun picture of the girls last night: (Left to right- Kathy, Carly, Elke, and Kim)

Lazy Day

Today we just hung around the house. We put Ran's 55 Gal. tank on ebay a few days ago and it was being in stored in the extra room. When we moved it out of there to take pictures of it, the extra room got a little messy, so I started organizing it again. I found a ton more stuff to put on ebay, so I have been busy taking photos and loading them up on the computer. Randy started going through all of our misc. CD's. There was a lot of stuff from the laptop (which we never use anymore). It was fun to see all the pictures and listen to all the music. There pictures from when we first got Darcie. She was so cute little. I can't believe it has been almost a year since we got her. Speaking of Darcie...here is a funny picture I took of her today:

Fairhaven

I had so much fun today. Tammy, her cute daughter, and I went down to Fairhaven to go to the different businesses to ask for donations for the Bennefit crop. We are going to put together 'A Day at Fairhaven" package to auction off. We got two donations today and some names to call back next week.

We got a gift certificate to the Colophon Cafe. It looked like a really good place to eat. I might have to take Ran back there someday.

We also got a gift certificate from Four Starrs Boutique. (www.fourstarrsboutique.com) It was the coolest shop ever! They are some really funky and trendy jewerly and clothes. They also have beauty bar. I LOVED it and so did Tammy. It made me wish I wore more jewerly. Maybe I will start so I can shop there. The owner, Danielle, was also really nice.

After walking around we got some awesome gelato. I tried caramel, amaretto, and tiramisu...yummy! Thanks fro the sweat treat Tammy!
I was also so happy that I got to finally visit Tessa's cute store, Wild Blueberries. It is the cutest little kid store. I wish I had a kid or was a kid so I could shop there. At least I have Isabell, Kate. and natalie I can shop for there. I am totally going to take Ran's parents there when they are here in a couple weeks for the tulip festival.

Tammy's little girl, Samantha, was so cute! I love her! She was so cute looking at the fish in our tank and when we at Fairhaven she was running and jumping all down the street.

For those of you who have not been to visit me yet, here is a little picture of Fairhaven. It is a historical part of town, with old buildings and cute little shops down by the bay.

So I have to go back to work today. Yesterday we didn't do too much, just hung around the house. Today they were testing the fire alarms in our building so for like a half hour there was a consatnt loud beeping, so we went and took some stuff to Good Will and then looked around at some of the shops in the same complex. Ran is getting his 55 Gal. fish tank ready for ebay today along with some other stuff.
So tonight I will probally an ebay posting machine!!

Not too much...

going on today. Yesterday when we were going to the beach, we were just starting the little walk/hike and I fell (who knows why or how) and I twisted my ankle quite bad. Anyhow, I still walked on it all the way to the beach and back and then last night it hurt so bad and same today. My whole foot is so swollen that it hardly fits in any shoe. Anyhow, because of that, we did not do too much today. Plus it was kind of rainy and cold outside. We went down town and ate at Taco Lobo. We had never been there, but Ran saw a commercial on TV for it and it said they made the tortillas there in the store etc. It was really good. They had a cute little salsa bar and good guacamole! Plus it is so colorful inside! I loved it!!
Image hosting by Photobucket
While we were downtown I wanted to go to the Public Market because I wanted to see Elizabeth's other store. (she own's Treasury) It is called Collections and it is like a boutique. It was really cute and I loved the stuff they had. The market sure had changed alot since the last time I was there in August. They have a pannini sandwhich place, a gelato place, a pizza place, chocolcate, art, etc. It was fun. Plus I got to Elizabeth and Thomas (her cute little boy) there.

Tonigh we are going to do out taxes...doesn't sound like fun, but hopefully we will get a nice refund.

At the beach...

Today we went on a picnic to Clayton beach. We all had so much fun except it was a bit windy and a bit cold. The tide was low when we were there so there was a lot of cool stuff out. Sorry there are so many pictures, I just couldn't pick a couple.

Ran's projects

So this week was really long! I worked 6 days plus we had Elsie Flannigan come to the store to teach some classes. (she is a "scrapbook celeb") so the store was really crazy, but it is now Sunday night and I have Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday off!! Yippee! Bad news is we are not coming home to visit, but good news is we finally have some time to hang out together. Tomarrow we are going to go on a picnic to Clayton beach. We are also planning on going to Fairhaven and shopping (we haven't been down there yet! and its like 5 min. from my house) I also have to work on some projects for work. Well, here are some pictures of Randy's projects that he did this past quarter:

End of the Quarter!!

Yeah! We had our last final today! Ran and I were noth in the same art history class and that was last test we had today. Ran also had his final in his sculpture class and he found out he got an A in ceramics. He was 1 out of 2 people who got an A. Way to go Randy!! We are both so ready for spring break...although we don't know what we are doing. We think it would be fun to go visit everyone, but we also think it would be nice to just be at home and not have anything to do and just spend time together. If the weather was nice, we thought it would be fun to walk to clayton beach and have a picnic. We will see after this weekend.

Oh, did we mention our dog's plan to take over the world?
Image hosting by Photobucket
with Randy's help of course. Ha ha.

Here are a couple layouts I did recently. Oh and did I mention I cleaned my scrapbook room? yup, I did...even dusted. It feels so nice to just go in there and there isn't stuff everywhere. I really should try harder to keep it this way.

Tim Holtz...

is such a nice guy! We sent him one of our "mighty Max" t-shirts that we have for the benefit crop and asked him to take his picture in it so we could post it on our store blog (treasuryofmemories.typepad.com). Isn't he a nice guy?

Fun stuff

So Monday night we had a meeting about safety at the store in response to the robbery we had. At the meeting Sara approached me about doing an all day class thingy with her. So we started planning and I pretty darn excited. I think it will be really fun. We are each going to do two classes. She is going to do a mini book class and a layout class on ribbon. I am doing a cnavas class and a layout class on paint. It is going to be on National Scrapbooking Day!! But we have to have our samples done by the beginning of next week, so I was up late tonight working away.

This is the canvas project I am going to do. It is using the fun new chatterbox papers and heidi Swapp blooms.
Image hosting by Photobucket
This is another I did. I think I might use it in a class I am planning, but I haven't decided yet. I used one of the new SEI papers on it.

Finals week...

is this coming week. I only have 2 finals though because I had one of my finals last week. Plus...Uhg...I am working 6 days this week. Although I shouldn't really complain because I volunteered for it. I figured it could make up the week when I only worked 1 day. This will be a crazy week as well because Elsie Flannigan is coming to the store this weekend and teaching like 5 classes plus a crop. The good thing is I have Mon, Tues, and Wed. of spring break off so me and Ran can go do something fun.

Holy cow...crazy story. I am driving home last night at like 11:30 p.m. (it was crop night) and walking down our street is this guy and he has a huge gash in the side of his head and there is blood all over his face. Like it was really scary to turn the corner and see this. Anyhow he walked across the street to the gas station and the 3 cop cars and an ambulance showed up. (Don't be scared about coming to visit Robyn, things like this happen too often)

Well, nothing else super exciting has happened. We have just been busy with school and work. But I will leave you with a picture of my cute puppy. Good Night!

WOW...

I found a site (thanks to 2peas) on the web to waste way too much time at. It is this doll maker web site. I have seriously sat here all night long (it is now like 1:00 in morning) making different dolls. I like to try and make people I know. Here are some of my attempts:

Mini book madness...

holy cow...so last night I go to Treasury to print out one little photo and the next thing I know I am helping Sara and Elizabeth plan the classes for the upcoming crop. I didn't mind though, they are fun to hang out with. So I was put in charge of making the mini book for one of classes and was asked to have it done by tonight!!! It went together really quickly once I had my plan, good thing too because I have to teach this in 30 minutes. Anyhow...I was really pleased with how it turned out. Here are some picts. alot of them. Oh and another thing, off the subject. Have you ever got your photos developed at Walgreens? OH my Goodness!! I had some developed there today and I hate them! Theya re printed onr eally flimsy paper and the finish on them is really wierd...finger print mania!! Anyhow...not happy at all. Anyhow, thanks for letting me vent about that really quick...enjoy the picts.
