Home again...

I had so much fun seeing everyone this past weekend! It made me so sad that I had to go home, not to mention ever since I got home I have been super busy. Well we are planning on coming down again in March for our spring break and I can't wait.

I was so excited to Ryan!! I loved hearing all his stories and I can't wait until we have more time to spend together and talk more about his experiences.
Darcie was so tired after this weekend. I guess she wasn't used to playing so much, but her and Fascho had fun. She slept the whole way home and would often fall asleep with her head still up...it reminds of a little kid who wants so bad to be up and part of what is going on, but is just so tired they fall alseep in thier food or something.

Anyhow...I LOVED LOVED LOVED seeing everyone this weekend and I can't wait until I see you all again!

So I am getting ready to leave tomarrow. Well not right now, I am on the computer, but you know what I mean. I am so excited to see everyone!!

Just a reminder about the fun purse party on Saturday night from 6:00 to 7:30!! It is at Ran's parents house. It is going to be so fun! There are going to be over 100 purses there!! I can't wait. Plus we are going to have good food and you can visit with me =)

Anyhow...keep your fingers cross that the pass has good weather tomarrow.

Our "new" chair

So this isn't really a new chair, but it is newly recovered. Me and Ran bought it when we were dating for $5.00 at a yard sale. It was covered with really ugly green burlap fabric. He re-covered a while later with faux leather, but the seat part broke, so this time he re-covered it with grey wool. It was quite the challenge and him and his mom have worked on it for a long time. This weekend when they came up they brought the half finished chair up as well and finally for it finished. I love it!! It looks so awesome!!

Project for work plus one

This is a book I did for treasury. Every month we have themes and for March the theme is Mini Books so I signed up to make one. Mine was wedding/engagment. These are the pages I rotated through out the book. There is a section for Bride, Groom, Ceremony, and Reception.

Here is one I did just for fun. The picture was taken at a Craft Warehouse christmas party.

SO Good....

So I just recently discovered the joy of Starbucks Caramel Apple Ciders. I LOVE them!! Like, I can not even describe how good they are! (of course you will have to like apple juice to like them) But, you know, drinking starbucks everyday can get a bit expensive, eh? So I was googling and found this basic recipe. (Some lady just asked the barista how she made it...easy enough) So I went out bought all the stuff and even thought they are not completely starbucks (come on how can you duplicate perfection?) they are pretty darn close. So I put the apple juice in my cup with a couple squirts of cinnamon syrup, maybe 1-2 more depending on the size of cup, and then warm up, then top with whip and caramel sauce. I ran out of whip so I have just been mixing the caramel in and it is good too. Anyhow...I just wanted to share this delightful drink with everyone!

Our Trip to Canada

So we went to Vancouver and Coquitlam yesterday so here are some pictures. Sorry there are kind of a lot.

The Vancouver Galler of Art


These are some of the building around the Art Museum...it took so long at the border we only had time to go to the museum and then we had to head to IKEA before they closed.

There are so many fun and cool clothing stores around this area including Gucci, DKNY, and a ton others.

I had never seen a church of scientology. I thought it was an LA thing.

Something besides ebay

So like I said before I have making tons of stuff and selling it on ebay and I love it...I am having so much fun. BUT, I was getting nothing done for myself, so last night I said NO ebay stuff, just stuff for me. This is one of the layouts I created...two of my favorite people!! I also cleaned my scraproom!!! Ran's parents are up and I wnated it to look nice. Anyhow...check back later for more fun pictures...we are going to Canada today!

Anyhow...again I had so much fun at the park playing with Darcie and enjoying the nice day...good thing thought too cause I just heard on the news we may have a cold front coming in!

Down by the Bay

Today was so nice. We didn't have school, I don't have to work until 5:30 (tonight is crop night), and the sun was out. We decided to go down to the bay for a nice walk. We kept trying to get Darcie to go into the wat, but she wouldn't until we were about to leave. She went crazy and kept running out into the ocean and bringing back seaweed, sticks, one time she "caught" her leash. I have more pictures, but the place that hosts my photos is having troubles, so I will try and add more later!

Works in Progress

So this quarter Ran is taking 2 studio classes: ceramics and metal shop. He has been spending a ton of time in the studio working on his projects. I normally drop him off on my way to work and then pick him up on my way home. He works on them in between classes and after he gets done working in the morning as well. So he is basically in the studio all the time. In Cermaics he is working on this really tall figure. When it is done it will be his height, maybe a little higher. The first picture is him working on asection of that. (we hope to a pict. of the actual prject up in the next day or so...so check back) The second pict. is the project he is working on in metal shop. I think he is almost done with it. He had almost finished and then decided to change some things- so this is the pict. with all the changes done.

Gray skies are gonna clear up...

These past couple of days have been so sunny and it is such a nice change from all the rain! I love it- walking out in the morning and actually seeing blue skies! The only draw back is tat it is much colder, you know, no clouds to keep the warmth in. Anyhow, the sunny weather is a welcome change!

Scrapbooking Crazy

So I have had the scrapbooking bug lately, staying up really late working on my latest project, but I have a problem. Sometimes I want to scrapbook, but I don't feel like scrapping any of my photos, so I have been making pages to sell on ebay!! I put 2 up this past week and 1 only sold for $3.00, but that was okay because used a kit I had tried to sell for .99 and it didn't sell, so in the long run I made more money. The 2nd page went for $20.50- holy cow!! Anyhow...this page here is one I made a few days ago and I LOVE IT! I know it is a bit much, but I just had so much fun making it. It was the biggest creative release. I didn't think about balance or anything, I just had fun.

Extreme Measures

I get home from work tonight and Ran says, "Hey go look at the stapler" so I head over to the desk and this is what awaits me. He said he was tired of needing to staple to something and not being able to find it because I had "stolen" it and taken it to my craft room. So he went to EXTREME MEASURES and actually chained the stapler to the desk!! Who knew he cared that much about the stapler??

Randy's Superbowl party!!!

Randy and Darcie had a superbowl party today while I was at work. (I did get home in time to watch most of the 2nd half) They had chips and dip, Ginger Ale, and Donuts decorated with green and blue sprinkles. I tied blue and grren ribbons to Darcie's color and Randy got out our Western pom poms- they have blue in them so they work. Still despit all of thier team spirit, the Seahawks still lost, But they had fun with thier little party.

New Glasses

We got our new glasses today! Yeah! I love them and I think Ran looks so handsome in his. I still think it is funny that Ran always thought he had such good eye sight and it turns out his prescription is stronger than mine!!

Too much Rain

It was raining this morning at 5:00 a.m. when I took Randy to work. When I woke up again at 7:30 a.m. the sky was blue and the sun was out. Now at 3:00 p.m. the sky is overcast again and it leaves me wondering will it rain tonight? The other day it was raining so hard and it was windy and we had to walk home in it. When we finally got home our pants were soaked. (The blue from my jeans turned my white socks blue!) It felt like we had been out playing in the snow. There just comes a point when there has been too much rain and I think I am reaching my limit.

Chai Tea

Yesterday I introduced Randy to the wonderful world of Chai Tea. We were walking around Haggen's getting some stuff for dinner and I encouraged him to get some and try it...and...it was a success!! He liked it! I was introduced to Chai Tea by Tessa T. and recently tried a to die for Chai Tea milk shake drink...oh it was heaven!!
